Return Policy

At Earthdynamankle, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return Policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, and exchanges. This policy complies with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the consumer guarantees set out in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

1. Your Consumer Guarantee Rights

Under Australian Consumer Law, products must:

  • Be of acceptable quality
  • Match the description provided
  • Be fit for any purpose that the consumer made known to us
  • Match any sample or demonstration model shown
  • Be free from defects
  • Be durable for a reasonable period

If a product fails to meet one of these consumer guarantees, you are entitled to a remedy. These rights apply regardless of any other warranty or guarantee we may offer.

2. Major vs Minor Failures

Major Failure: If a product has a major failure, you can choose to:

  • Reject the product and receive a full refund, or
  • Reject the product and receive an identical replacement (if available), or
  • Keep the product and receive compensation for the reduction in value

A major failure occurs when:

  • A reasonable consumer would not have purchased the product if they had known about the problem
  • The product is significantly different from the description or sample
  • The product is substantially unfit for its normal purpose and cannot easily be made fit
  • The product is unsafe

Minor Failure: If a product has a minor failure that can be fixed, we may choose to repair or replace the product, or refund you, within a reasonable time. If we do not do so, you may have the product repaired elsewhere and recover the reasonable costs from us, or reject the product.

3. Change of Mind Returns

In addition to your consumer guarantee rights, we offer a 30-day change of mind return policy for most products. To be eligible for a change of mind return:

  • The return request must be made within 30 days of delivery
  • The product must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging
  • The product must be returned in resalable condition
  • You must provide proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)

Change of mind returns are not available for:

  • Custom-made or personalised products
  • Products that have been assembled, installed, or modified
  • Products that have been used or show signs of wear
  • Products not in original packaging

4. How to Request a Return

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • The product(s) you wish to return
  • The reason for the return

Our team will review your request and provide you with return instructions within 2 business days.

5. Return Shipping

For faulty products or products that do not meet consumer guarantees: We will cover the cost of return shipping. We will arrange collection or provide a prepaid shipping label.

For change of mind returns: You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

Products must be adequately packaged to prevent damage during transit. We recommend using the original packaging where possible.

6. Inspection and Processing

Once we receive your returned product, we will inspect it within 5 business days and notify you of the outcome. If your return is approved:

  • Refunds: Will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days
  • Exchanges: Replacement products will be dispatched within 5 business days (subject to availability)
  • Store Credit: If you prefer, we can issue store credit for future purchases

If your return is not approved (e.g., the product does not meet return conditions), we will contact you to discuss options. You may choose to have the product returned to you at your expense.

7. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged or incorrect item:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos of the damage or incorrect item
  • Keep all original packaging until the issue is resolved

We will arrange for collection of the damaged or incorrect item and send you the correct product or a full refund at no additional cost to you.

8. Refund Method

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase:

  • Credit/Debit Card: Refunded to the original card (may take 5-10 business days to appear depending on your bank)
  • PayPal: Refunded to your PayPal account within 5 business days

Please note that original shipping costs are non-refundable for change of mind returns unless the entire order is returned due to our error.

9. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product for a different size, colour, or style:

  • Contact us to arrange the exchange
  • Return the original product following our return process
  • If the replacement product is more expensive, you will need to pay the difference
  • If the replacement product is less expensive, we will refund the difference

Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the desired product is unavailable, we will offer a refund or store credit.

10. Products Purchased from Third Parties

This Return Policy only applies to products purchased directly from Earthdynamankle (through our website or showroom). If you purchased our products from a third-party retailer, please contact them directly regarding returns.

11. Warranty Information

Many of our products come with manufacturer warranties in addition to your consumer guarantee rights. Warranty terms vary by product and are provided with your purchase. Consumer guarantee rights are not affected by any warranty period.

12. Exclusions

Consumer guarantees do not apply to damage caused by:

  • Abnormal use or misuse of the product
  • Failure to follow care or maintenance instructions
  • Accidents, including drops or impacts
  • Exposure to conditions outside normal use (e.g., extreme weather beyond product specifications)
  • Modifications or repairs by unauthorised parties
  • Normal wear and tear
